As you probably know yesterday was the super bowl. It was in the area where I live. There was a lot of events going on everywhere, and last week for any fan. If football is your passion we had numerous activities for you to do. There was a NFL experience for the football fans of any age, there was football games, pictures with the Lombardi trophy, autographs from some players. It was huge. Something that really touched me was yesterday when I was directing traffic and fans into the stadium. Yes, I was working the super bowl. There were fans dressed in jersey's, and colors of their favorite teams. Some people went over board, they dyed their hair. You might be thinking, why am I a Christian working in such a crazy environment? There was all sorts of stuff going on, and the fact that they had police everywhere that has to mean something. God provided me with this opportunity. So I accepted it, and I'm glad I did. Outside the gates to the stadium, I saw a group of Christians. They were handing out tracks and they were holding signs with bible verses on. It was awesome for me to see that, but not awesome for most of the people. The people were cussing at them, and calling them names. People were ripping up the tracks, not even glancing at them. But through it all these Christians kept talking and handing out these tracks. I heard someone say. ''I hate these people who walk around forcing religion on people, if I want a religion I'll go get one myself.'' It was sad to hear and my eyes watered up, these lost people don't know what there missing. We aren't forcing a religion we are sharing a relationship. They could have the greatest relationship ever, and one that lasts forever. The creator of all wants them to come and let him be there life. God! Wants to know them. Isn't that amazing? The affect culture has on people, they become independent not relying on anyone but themselves. They think they don't need God, but the fact is God has been there the whole time, he's always there, he's been there for everything. He cares about their life. He doesn't want people to suffer he wants people to live, forever in heaven with him. I prayed for these people, all while I was working... The people walking by, people driving, people working. I prayed they might come to a point in their life where they need God and will accept him. It was Seahawks against the Patriots yesterday. But there's been a choice since Jesus died, Heaven or Hell. God or Satan and this world. Where has the America that was founded on God gone? People are more excited about a football game then the creator of the universe. We Christians, need to stand up and be a light, shining in those dark spots. Maybe it's at a football game. Maybe it's at your workplace or school. People can come to God anytime, so let's get shining. Although it will be hard, when people continue to reject over and over. Just remember that even a small light still makes a difference. Be a light!
